What I want to do before I die
Many many people have written out their "What I want to do before I die" lists out there. For the most part, they won't get done. The reasons are that most people won't do the work to get these things done, or they start their list too late in life, or the goals are too lofty.
Most people who want to parachute will not work on their fear of heights. Most people who want to see the Pyramids won't save money, get the passports, and book the trip. Most people won't do the hard work required to learn French or Japanese.
This blog follows my "bucket list", and what I'm doing to reach them. I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing with my list. And periodically add some new items.
Roger!

Week 2 update on Bucket List
I am working on the following in Week 1:
2) Run a marathon
45) Bench 225
52) Never weight over 195
55) Do something so sweet Wife gets teary-eyed
66) Write 10 love notes to Wife a year
97) Do something truly evil (not done yet, but working on it...)
115) Celebrate 50 years of marriage
118) Learn Guitar and play for a crowd
120) Do 100 push-ups
124) Write a song
126) Weight 185 pounds
2, 45, 120, 126. Three days a week at the Racquetball Club. Run 2-4 miles on the indoor track. Do 7 exercises, 3 sets, 10-15 reps (until failure). Alternate chest/triceps and back/biceps. Abs every day. I'm not lifting enough weight to gain muscle mass. I'm more interested in giving the calories I eat everyday some place to go besides my belly.
52, 126. Crash diet. Nevermind the low carb, good cholesterol/bad cholesterol, South Beach diet, low fat, high protein, or other fad diets. I simply eat less than 1,500 calories a day.
I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. The first 10 are easy. My body starts to push back at 15 pounds lost. I should weigh zero in a mere 103 weeks.
55, 115, 118, 66. I've also spent 7+ hours learning the guitar this week. I think I'll learn to play a sweet song Wife likes: "Dancing in the Moonlight" and play for her one night when I can get her out to see Nick's band play. I think I can talk Nick into 3 minutes of stage time to do something sweet for Wife. I also brought her flowers with a note.
